Robert Krulwich on the meaning of public media

My colleague Jeff Manson and I spent an hour with longtime friend, former Radiolab co-host and journalism legend Robert Krulwich on Tuesday, April 29 for KWMR West Marin Community Radio’s annual Pledge Drive.

Robert took us back to the early days of public media and shared thoughts on his inventive approach to storytelling, with clips from the story he did in 1979 to explain interest rates with Fed chair Paul Volcker… using Italian opera! He also riffed on moon dust.
